Online Birthday Gift Ideas
Gift Sender Central (http://www.giftsendercentral.com) has a variety of nice gift baskets, including some birthday themed gift baskets. For example, their 'Happy Birthday Gift Box' is a very bright and cheerful gift box assortment that contains:
- Happy birthday fortune cookies
- Lemon drops
- Jelly Belly jelly beans
- White chocolate cookies
- Milk chocolate birthday candles
- Assorted licorice
- Pretzel dippin sticks
- Butter caramel corn
Everything is contained in a bright yellow gift box with a rainbow ribbon. At $48.99 this is a somewhat pricey gift basket. Considering that you'd probably choose something more personal for a close friend or relative, I think that 50 bucks is a little much for a casual birthday gift, but hey, if you have someone you don't know well and need to impress this could be just the thing.

Even The Odd Balls In Your Life Deserve An Appropriately Odd Birthday Gift
I made a nice birthday gift basket for my friend who loves the music group Skinny Puppy. I chose a nice rattan hinged box and sprayed it with black paint. Then I lined the inside with pictures of her favorite band and covered them with a clear protective sealant. I filled the box with some rare recordings and printed images of the members of Skinny Puppy, as well as tickets to a show on their next tour and lots of gummy maggot candies. She was thrilled. Besides the cost of tickets, I only spent about $25 on supplies to make the basket and blank CDs to burn the recordings onto. Oh yeah, and on the outside I stenciled 'God's gift: maggots' -a line from one of their songs, for the Skinny Puppy-ignorant.
